She was born on November 8, 1914, at Coulee City, WA to area pioneers, John B. and Edna (Lange) Peterson.

He was born on October 25, 1921, near Yates Center, KS. He was one of nine sons and two daughters born to Ernest Everest and Edith May (Dumont) Mentzer.

Albert was the son of the late Robert and Catherine (Walsh) Flom. He was born in Tacoma, WA on September 4, 1950. He was a 1969 graduate of Roxana High School in Roxana, IL.
