The Snow Flies on Wisconsin's South Shore
Ashland, WI (Northland's NewCenter) - While many lawns in Duluth still show exposed patches of grass, Wisconsin's South Shore is buried in 3 feet of a fresh new winter blanket. While January is nearly half over, many residents in Ashland are welcoming the recent snowfall with open arms, hoping it gives a much needed boost to their winter economy.

Deborah Marie Rothing-Hillestad, 58, of Woodruff, went to a pain free place on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, surrounded by her loved ones and devoted Seasons of Life Hospice staff. She was born Feb. 8, 1953, in Ashland, to Elman and Bettie Parent. Her father Elman preceded her in death in 1980.
